Training Overview
This training is available as live online sessions as well as through a self-paced online course.
The live online sessions are taking place from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm on these dates (all live sessions are currently full):
The self-paced online course provides 6.5 hours of training that is available on demand for a period of 5 months once started.

With funding from the Illinois State Board of Education, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) is offering the above course to train clinicians on the core competencies to provide safer care. IDPH is pleased to partner with the ECHO-Chicago program at the University of Chicago to host the trainings.
Registration

Registration for live sessions is limited and will close approximately two weeks prior to the session date. All registrations (for the live training or self-paced online course) must be received by March 22, 2024.
Cost
Training is offered at no cost to participants.
Professional Development Hours for Illinois licensed school support personnel (school social workers, counselors, psychologists, nurses, etc.) are available at no cost.
Continuing Education Units are available at no cost for the following professions: Illinois Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors, Licensed Clinical Psychologists, Licensed Clinical Social Workers, Licensed Professional Counselors, Licensed Social Workers, Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, & Advanced Practice Nurses.
This training meets the requirements related to training for school personnel about suicide prevention listed in 105 ILCS 5/10-22.39.
