Executive Director
Karen Lee, M.S., is the Executive Director for ECHO-Chicago. When Karen is not in the office, you will likely find her taking in a game at Wrigley field, testing out new baking recipes, or trying to keep her toddler entertained. She earned her Master’s in Health and Social Behavior from the Harvard School of Public Health and did her undergraduate studies at the University of Chicago with a concentration in the History, Philosophy, and Social Studies of Science and Medicine (HiPSS). In addition to her work with ECHO-Chicago, Karen also works with programs across the Sections of Academic Pediatrics and Pediatric Infectious Diseases including Care2Prevent, the Pediatric Mobile Medical Unit, and SafeKids South Chicagoland. Prior to joining the ECHO-Chicago team, she oversaw operations for the South Side Health & Vitality Studies at the University of Chicago and worked on the Hospitals, Language, and Culture Study at The Joint Commission. What Karen enjoys most about working with ECHO-Chicago is the opportunity to work together with a diverse and multidisciplinary group of subject matter experts, partners, participants, and stakeholders to solve challenging public health problems in our community.
